Oyster Blend Culinary Powder - .5oz

Ingredients:

Pure fruiting bodies from oyster mushrooms, dehydrated and powdered.

 

*Our products only contain the mushroom fruit body, as it holds the most medicinal value.  We never use mycelium, fillers, or grain in any of our products.

Directions:
Mix into foods while cooking.  This may include broth, stir fry, soups, sauces, gravy, and scrambles.

*When looking for a mushroom product, look for products that contain 100% fruiting bodies.  If a product says 'full spectrum' or 'contains mushrooms' or any other wording that doesn't specify 100% fruiting bodies, then it may not be a potent product.   The main reason for this, is in order to grow mycelium (the mushroom root system), you must use grain or starch as a medium.  Once the mycelium is grown, it cannot be separated from the grain.  Therefore, it gets dehydrated and powdered, and the final product is left with a majority of starch. This dilutes the product and decreases the amount of functional and medicinal compounds (like beta-glucans and polysaccharides).  The mycelium and fruiting bodies of many mushrooms have been tested, and shows that fruiting bodies contain a higher percentage.  Research also shows that there is actually benefit to both mycelium and fruiting bodies.  However, because you cannot separate the mycelium from the starch, many products on the market contain high levels of starches.
